The Welcome project is part of Art for Change through Engagement (ACE), a collaboration between Cambridge School of Art at Anglia Ruskin University and the Wellcome-MRC Institute of Metabolic Science - Metabolic Research Laboratories (IMS-MRL) at Cambridge University.
Working together on this project are Amanda Lavis, PhD Student in Children’s Picturebook Illustration from Anglia Ruskin and Danielle Jones, PhD Student in Clinical Biochemistry from Cambridge University.
Through the creation of an artwork/s we intend to promote a sense of welcome and feeling of inclusion for black and ethnic minority women accessing the Diabetes in Pregnancy Clinic at the Rosie Hospital, Cambridge and within the wider community.
